Hello everyone! Welcome to another fun blog post. Today I am showing a new craft project featuring wooden hearts. I bought a big bag of wooden hearts over a year ago at a craft store. There were so many in the bag that I never got the chance to use them all, so I grabbed a wood burning tool and started crafting!
Supplies:
- Miniature Wooden Hearts
- Wood Burning Tool
- Map Paper
- Decoupage Glue
- Xacto Knife
Instructions:
- Cut heart shapes out of the map paper, then glue the paper on top of the wood hearts with the decoupage glue.
- Let the decoupage glue dry for about an hour, then trim the paper around the hearts with an Xacto Knife.
- Plug in the wood burning tool to let it get hot. (Makes sure to be careful while using this tool because the heat will burn your skin.) Now burn the corners and sides of the hearts. The wood burner gives the hearts a rustic look.
Continue burning the hearts until you achieve your desired design.
I love the way these little hearts turned out. They make awesome decorations for my room. I tied jute twine around a few of the hearts just to add a little something extra to the project. They are so cute that I may give a few of them away as gifts!
