Valentine's Day

Celebrating Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is about showing love to those closest to you. One way I like to show love is by making gifts for friends and family. I enjoy creating projects that show my appreciation for others, and so many people seem to enjoy receiving handmade gifts and cards.

Please continue reading below to see some of the things I made in preparation for Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day Countdown

During Christmastime, I like to make advent calendars. I thought it would be a fun idea to make a countdown calendar for Valentine’s Day.

I tied strings of jute twine on an old ladder. Then I hung mini envelopes on the strings with small clothespins. Finally, I just draped a flower garland over the ladder. I thought it would be nice to also place loving and encouraging notes inside of the envelopes.

Burlap Heart Wreath

I cut burlap into strips and then I tied each piece around a heart-shaped wire wreath form.

Painted Wooden Hearts

I visited my local Dollar Tree and saw that they had lots of heart-shaped decorations ready to be painted and decorated. I bought two wooden hearts, painted them, and then glued flowers on them.

What are some fun and expensive ways you like to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Please share your ideas in the comment section.

Thanks for reading!
