5 Easy Dessert Ideas

I love desserts of any kind, so I’ve spent the past few weeks baking and decorating different treats for myself and also for friends and family. Today I want to share with you all some sweet recipes and ideas that you can bake in 30 minutes or less.


Berry Mini Breads

Ingredients and Supplies:

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

*Mini loaf pans or wrappers

*Large cookie sheet


Baking Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, milk, and egg in a large bowl or stand mixer.

3. Beat mixture until smooth. Fold in raspberries and blueberries.

4. Spoon equal amounts of batter into loaf bakeware wrappers.

5. Place the filled wrappers on a large cookie sheet. Bake for 22-25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool before serving.



Patriotic Cupcakes

There are lots of different opportunities and holidays to show pride for your country. No matter where you are from, you can find ways to decorate your desserts to match your country’s flag and colors.

Here are some cupcakes I made for the Fourth of July. I like to use Pillsbury cake mix when I’m in a rush or don’t feel like being in the kitchen for a long time.


The decorations are simple and the cupcakes delicious!

Cupcakes and Candy

Talk about sugar overload! Who wouldn’t love the combination of sweet cupcakes and candy? All you have to do is fill plastic wine glasses about 3/4 of the way with candy, and then place the decorated cakes on top.



Mermaid Cupcakes

This idea is one of my favorites because I love how popular mermaids are right now. I couldn’t wait to bake these cupcakes for a party.


Bake any flavor of cupcakes you like, then top them off with icing. Finally, add seashells and mermaid tails made out of candy melts. I purchased the tail and shell molds on
