My husband and I are in the process of renovating our home in the hopes of either selling or renting it in the near future. This is why I was excited to receive an awesome infographic in my email that details how to design a home in order to sell it faster. The infographic covers a number of tips, from washing windows to organizing closets, as well as how to prepare for snoops (make sure your medicine cabinets are ready for the public!).
Time to sell your house? Great! Nervous about what you can do to make it more attractive to potential buyers? Don’t be: We’ve got it figured out.
One of the most important, if not the most important things, that you can do is to freshen up your front door—new light and address numbers, paint if necessary, even a doormat. Your closets should also be decluttered and your windows washed, too.
Actually, new accents and hardware go a long way toward more than just the front door; spaces like the bathroom can also benefit from fixed-up hardware. Those small touches extend to things like switch plates and even medicine cabinets (yes, people will take peeks where they shouldn’t).
Your spaces should look big, bright, and clean, and this graphic helps you figure out where to concentrate your efforts to sell your house more quickly.
