Welcome to the weekly Craft Roundup! Today I am sharing with you my favorite glass jar and bottle projects. These projects are the perfect way to recycle and reuse old containers. Check out the fun tutorials below.
- Tint Jars and Bottles
Supplies:
- Clean Glass Jars or Bottles
- White Glue
- Food Coloring
- Water
For this project, you will need to experiment with how much glue and food coloring you need to use for your glass containers. The more food coloring you use, the darker the glass will be. I used about 1 tbsp of glue, 2 tsp of water, and two drops of food coloring for each jar.
Instructions:
- Mix the food coloring, water and glue inside the glass jar.
- You can either use a paint brush to coat the inside of the jar with the mixture, or you can do like I did and swirl the mixture around inside the jar. Then, turn it upside down and let the mixture drip onto some paper.
- The drip method takes a long time to dry (several hours), but at the end of your wait you will have a set of beautiful glass jars and bottles.
**I used artificial flowers instead of real flowers because I wasn’t sure how long the color would last with water.
