Turn a Picture Frame Into a Dry Erase Board

Today, I am showing you how to make a crafty dry erase board. This is by far the easiest craft project I’ve ever made. I have notes and note boards placed all over my house. I’m constantly making lists and writing reminders. I knew a pretty DIY erase board would be the perfect addition to my living room, and it will help me keep track of my ideas throughout the week.

Supplies I Used:

  • 11″ x 14″ Picture Frame
  • Fabric
  • White Chalk Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Dry Erase Marker
  • Stapler

Steps:

1. Remove the backing and glass from the frame, then paint the frame (optional). Let the frame dry for about 1-2 hours.

2. Iron the fabric to remove any wrinkles.

3. Cut the fabric and staple it to the frame. Make sure the staples aren’t noticeable by stapling very close to the edges of the backing that will be hidden by the frame.

4. For the last step, simply put the frame back together. It’s now ready to use with a dry erase marker.

I’m not sure if I want to hang my dry erase board vertically or horizontally, but what I do know is that I love the beautiful colors on the fabric. This board is so pretty and girly. It’s perfect for Spring and Summer!
