If you like beautiful birdhouses, then you will enjoy today’s craft project.
For some reason, I love decorating birdhouses. I started this hobby about a year ago when I bought a couple of wooden birdhouses that were on sale at a craft store. These little houses are so much fun to paint and embellish. As you can see, I went with a shabby chic style. I love how cute and feminine the house looks!
Follow the instructions below to learn about the decorations.
Supplies:
- Wooden Birdhouse
- White Spray Paint
- Floral Wrapping Paper
- Floral Embellishments
- Hot Glue Gun
- Mod Podge (Paper)
- Foam Brush
- Craft Knife
Instructions:
- First, I painted the birdhouse with white spray paint. I let the painted house completely dry before I moved on to the next step.
- Next, I used a foam brush and Mod Podge to decoupage pieces of the wrapping paper on the roof, window and door frames. This part of the project is where the craft knife came in handy because I was able to trim the excess paper off the house easily.
Then, I hot glued floral embellishments on the front of the house.
Finally, I painted the door knobs pink to complete the decorations.
I hope you all liked reading about my lovely birdhouse. Please feel free to share with your friends who may enjoy this project. Have a great day!
This is stunning I would look to put this in my backyard!
Keep up the hard work,
