I love decorating with neutral colors, but lately it seems I am drawn to yellow decor. This week, I took some yellow fabric and yellow spray paint and made a couple of quick craft projects.
1. Repurposed Coffee Container
My husband saves containers for me because he knows I like to reuse them for craft projects. I knew that this container would look perfect with a little paint and some flowers.
It took about three coats of spray paint to cover the container. I love how bright and cheery it looks!
I added a bouquet of flowers to finish the look.
2. Fabric Wrapped Heart Clock
I made this clock last year. Unfortunately, either my son or my husband knocked it over and broke it (no one has confessed to the crime). I hate throwing my craft projects away, so I decided to give the clock a makeover.
I removed the clock parts, then I painted over the numbers on the wood heart so they wouldn’t show through the fabric. Next, I cut out a piece of the fabric into a heart shape and adhered it to the wood heart with Fabric Mod Podge. Finally, I added the parts back to the clock.
Yellow is such a happy color. It immediately puts me in the mood for warmer weather. I can’t wait to add the color to other parts of my house.
