This craft project was a fun way to celebrate and remember some of the places I have lived and traveled.
I used the following supplies:
- Glass gems
- Maps
- Mod Podge (gloss)
- X-Acto Knife
I began by cutting out the cities I visited over the years from old road and maps I printed from websites.
Next, I spread a layer of Mod Podge on the back of the glass stones and on the front of the map pieces. Then I pressed them together and let them dry for a couple of hours.
Finally, I trimmed the paper with the X-Acto knife.
I placed the map stones in a large glass vase that is sitting on bookshelf in my bedroom. I think these stones are an awesome reminder of where I’ve been. It’s nice to have another representation of my travels to go along with photos and souvenirs.
Here are some other projects I completed using maps:

I love travel crafts, and use our own travel photos as decor around the house. Your project is my feature pick for this week at Merry Monday!
Thank you!
I love this. It would be a fun, thoughtful gift for a family who has adopted children from all over the world. Thanks for sharing!
