DIY Candy Jar

This candy jar project is very popular. You can find hundreds of tutorials on Pinterest and other craft blogs. I love candy, so I had to do this project.

I used the following supplies:

  • Glass jar
  • Flower pot and saucer
  • Wooden knob
  • Krylon Burgundy Spray paint
  • White acrylic paint
  • Aleene’s Glass and Bead Glue

I spray painted the knob, flower pot, and saucer. I sprayed about 3-4 coats, giving each coat a few minutes to dry.

After the paint dried, I painted white polka onto the pot. Then I glued the jar onto the bottom of the flower pot and the knob onto the saucer.

**Let the candy jar air out for several hours (or overnight) before you put the candy in the jar so that the candy won’t taste like paint fumes.
