A Joyful and Merry Christmas

I can’t believe it’s already Christmas time! It feels like the year went by very quickly. Yet, here we are once again, fortunate enough to celebrate this festive season. The Christmas holiday means so much to many people around the world. It is a time to spend memorable moments with friends and family, as well as a time for giving. This holiday season is also perfect for moments of reflection when we think about all the events that occurred throughout the year.

“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”

Bob Hope

While shopping for presents, I realized how easy it is to forget the spiritual significance of the holidays. Sometimes we cause a lot of stress by searching for the perfect gifts and spending too much time and money buying material things. So this Christmas, I plan on being more relaxed and grateful for the peaceful time I get to spend at home with my family. I thank God for these moments, and I try not to take them for granted.

Please continue reading below as I share photos of my family’s Christmas celebration and how we decorated together for the holidays.

My family and I always enjoy decorating the tree and fireplace each Christmas.

I love handmade Christmas cards. I try to make cards every year and mail them to friends and family.

Don’t forget the snacks for Santa!

Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment and share the ways you will celebrate this holiday season.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  1. And what a year! We were so sure that this time last year, things would be “more normal” – here in NZ they were for a time…now not so much. But it’s summertime and the sun always makes everything that little bit better.
Happy Holidays to you and your family
