I was cleaning out some of my craft supplies when I discovered I had some products that I hadn’t used yet. I buy a lot of my supplies when they are on sale, and I usually throw them into my closet. That’s where I discovered a wood tile board and some wood frames I bought earlier this year. They were just sitting on my shelf collecting dust, so I knew I had to find something to do with them.
I am a lover of positive quotes and affirmations. I have a scrapbook full of scriptures and quotes that help keep me encouraged throughout the day. When I saw that the tile board had nine blocks, I knew that it would be perfect for a fruits of the spirit craft project. The fruits of the spirit are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I think these are excellent traits to demonstrate everyday.
I painted and drew on the board with pencils, paint, markers, and stencils.
This is a simple and fun project that you can do for yourself or with children, and it’s an excellent opportunity to teach children how to treat other people.
I painted two wood frames for the next project. I like to decorate my fireplace mantel for certain holidays and seasons. Right now I’m working on Fall decorations. I wanted the frames to match my rustic theme.
I used burlap ribbon, white paint, wood chalk, and a hot glue gun to complete the frames.
I’m going to finish cleaning and organizing my supplies so that I can begin working on some new craft projects.
