Painted Wall Art

This project is all about painting and positivity. I love encouraging quotes and affirmations, so I decided to paint myself a sign that I could hang on my wall. It will be an uplifting reminder to create daily and continue to use my gifts and talents.

I used the following supplies:

  • Acrylic paint (colors: Pool Blue, Coral Reef, Yellow, Peacock Blue, Lilac Mist, New Shamrock Green)
  • Wood Plaque (bought at Michaels)
  • Paint brushes
  • Pencil
  • Sharpie Paint Pen (White)
  • Flower Stencils

I began by painting the plaque with the Pool Blue paint.

Once the paint dried, I used the stencils to draw flowers on the plaque.

Next, I painted the flowers.

Then I wrote my quote on the plaque using a pencil and paint pen.

“Create Something Beautiful” is a quote I try to live by everyday. It’s also a quote I get the opportunity to put into practice because of this blog. I love what I do, and I enjoy sharing my projects with all you readers and subscribers.

  1. This looks great and I’m sure it will be a great motivator for you to create. think I can actually do this and not end up with a Pinterest fail (except maybe on the painting part) 🙂 Pinned!
