DIY Race Car Sign

About a year ago, my husband and I bought my son this awesome car bed:

He loves the bed, and I am always thinking of ways to decorate around it.

I recently dismantled an old, damaged dresser and saved some pieces from it to use for other craft projects. For this particular project, I used a thin piece of wood from the dresser and painted it a race car theme

I started off by sanding the board with fine grit sand paper and spray painting it red.

Once the paint was dry, I use a Sharpie Paint Pen to draw a road.

Then, I used stencils and acrylic paint to draw race cars and letters.

I painted the inside of the letters to make it resemble a racing flag.

This is the finished sign:

My son is just getting ready for a toddler bed. We’ve been thinking about doing something like this. Thanks for sharing!
